Archived Information

To find the most up to date news about Street Fighter 4, check out the front page of EventHubs.com.

Street Fighter 4 has been confirmed for the XBox 360, PS3 and PC, although there is no release date at the moment. It has also been stated it will be making its way to arcades, as expected.

There's a new confirmed character named Seth who's said to resemble Gill and Urien from Street Fighter 3, but not much else is currently known about him. Also Fei Long and Dan will be making return appearances.

M. Bison in Street Fighter 4

M. Bison and Vega will be returning in Street Fighter 4. Capcom uploaded a bunch a nice screen shots to their Flickr page.

This video shows footage of Rufus and El Furte in action. Rufus is one of the more... odd characters seen in a Street Fighter game.

To see some low quality screen shots of Rufus, click here.

El Fuerte is a new confirmed character for Street Fighter 4. He's another grappler/wrestler type character, which is interesting because the game already has Abel and Zangief.

Sagat and Balrog will be appearing in Street Fighter 4. To check video of the fighters in action, just click their names.

Abel in Street Fighter 4

Abel is another new character for Street Fighter 4.

Street Fighter 2 characters return in Street Fighter 4

It has been confirmed that the original eight Street Fighter 2 characters will all be making another appearance in the latest installment.

The word around the net claims that SF4 is 50% complete, which would put its release date some time this summer.

Screen shots

There's new shots of the original SF2 characters in SF4 up on this page.

The Street Fighter blog posted some scans from a foreign magazine that claims Akuma is confirmed for the upcoming game, along with a brand new character called the Crimson Viper.

There's also the old shots of Ryu and Ken fighting here.

A First Look at Street Fighter 4 part 1 and part 2 have surfaced on YouTube. It has new gameplay footage of Ryu and Ken fighting and there's a bit of new information in these videos plus, including...

  • Interviews from members of the team working on SF4.
  • Clearer details about how the new gameplay systems work, including the 'Revenge' and 'Saving' systems.
  • Capcom grasps how important online play is to the Western audience and they're adding in features to help satisfy that need.

Also there's a gameplay video on YouTube which shows Ryu and Ken fighting on Chun-Li's stage. A quick shout out to Martin S. for the news tip.

  • Throwing is done by pressing both light attacks.
  • Personal actions (taunts) are executed by pressing both hard attacks.
